We are an illustrious team of chemists, dedicated to teaching and learning chemistry. We deliver instructions in physical, Inorganic, and analytical organic chemistry at the U.G. Level (affiliated to C.U.) and pure chemistry and environmental science at the P.G. Level through Directorate of Distance Education, Vidyasagar University.

The term "Rasayana" in Sanskrit was derived from the term "Rasa" which meant extract from roots, stems and leaves of medicinal plants which were used as cure aids by ancient saints.

Chemistry was therefore, usually confined to a part of Ayurveda and is as old a discipline, as the "Charaka Samhita" and the "Susruta Samhita" but has grown and expanded its horizon through the ages, particularly during the last century....
